Is Their A Magical Solution To Having Fat Ankles and Fat Legs?
Do you wish you didn’t have fat legs or fat ankles? Well chances are you are not alone, it seems from various surveys carried out that while men find women’s ankles and legs very sexy most women face a constant worry about not looking good in the ankle and leg area.
Considering that legs are often the part of their bodies that are exposed the most, many women struggle with the appearance of fat legs and those with very fat legs feel uncomfortable exposing them. Usually they will choose to wear pants rather than dresses or skirts tpo cover them up if they believe them to be unsightly.
It is a fact that many women who have fat legs or ankles are in fact genetically predisposed this way and there is probably very little they can have do to prevent it. But inspite of this they try to reduce fat by exercise and dieting which in some circumstances can be pretty ineffectual.
Regretably, the stored fat in the ankles and leg area are fats which are difficult to remove and diet and exercise will only do so much. This has resulted in many women turning to the surgeons knife for the answer and many have tried either leg or ankle liposuction
Ever considered Liposuction? It is a common procedure carried out by cosmetic surgeons. How it works is few small incisions are made around the ankles and legs and the fat is removed this way by a vacum pump. Afterwards the period of recovery can be around 28 -42 days whilst the surgery is healing. This procedure is not cheap and you would expect to pay anything from $4000 and up and should be seen as a last ditch attempt to get rid of fat when all else has failed.
Like any surgical procedure it carries it’s own risks and in addition fat located in the ankles especially and to a lesser extent the legs is relatively superfical as both the ankles and lower leg do not contain deep compartments for fat to accumulate. This means that this form of liposuction can be more tricky than in other areas of the body.
Whilst weight loss from the ankles and legs may be much harder than some other areas of the body I encourage you to try these methods first at least. If you find they have not worked and you can afford it and you accept the risks then and only then consider plastic surgery.
-Lower you dietary intake of sugars. Stop drinking regular and diet soda’s and having sweet foods and sugar in your drinks and on your food. Use other natural sweetners such as honey as replacements.
-Keep your legs warm in winter by wearing thick tights or stockings or socks and even extreme climates leg warmers. This can be effective when you live in areas where cold winters and more common and reduces your chances of getting fat legs or ankles.
-Boost the amount of water you drink. Aim to consume 8-10 glasses of cold or iced water a day.If you drink coffee aim to replace each cup of coffee with an additional glass of water.Water helps detox the body which improves fat breakdown in all areas.
-Eat a diet richer in protein than you do right now, whilst you should continue to eat a balanced diet try increasing your intake of protein foods as this helps the body retain less fat.
-Exercise, sit in a chair, put one leg straight out in front of you and move your foot in a circular motion. Do this one way then the other, do it at least 10 times in either direction, then of course, swap legs. This is an excellent exercise and even for people who lack mobility is very effective.
-Take a look at another article I have written recently about having sexier legs, you can read it here http://www.dreambodynow.com/want-sexier-legs-follow-these-tips-to-succeed/ you will find some of these tips are also very effective.
Finally -It maybe that your swollen ankles are due to fluid around the ankle. Feel the area just around the joint and press gently. If it feels ‘fleshy’ and you can move it, then see a Doctor who will more than likely supply you with a Diuretic, which is a substance that removes water from the body by promoting urine formation and the loss of salt (sodium).
I am totally confident that these tips should help you in some small way. However I strongly recommend you start a program of weight loss if at all concerned about having fat ankles or fat legs.
