Bad Breath Solution Ideas
Do you have bad breath? If you do, no one would blame you if you looked for a bad breath solution. Having bad breath can be really embarrassing. Can you imagine how you would feel if you had to talk to someone who had the smell of sweaty socks coming from their mouth?
Luckily, finding a cure for bad breath is not an impossiblity. Many individuals have been afflicted with this condition and many of these same people have found a bad breath solution that got rid of their problem. Trying to find a treatment to stop smoking would be much more difficult.
There are foods in your diet that can give you halitosis. Sadly, some of these foods might be your favorites. You must not eat any foods that are rich in protein, such as beans, dairy foods, red meat, and fish. Your diet should also be devoid of onions, garlic, and other spicy foods. These foods should be eliminated from your diet because they have odor-causing compounds which can get exhaled from through lungs.
These foods should be replaced with fresh fruits, such as papaya and pineapple, and vegetables, such as carrots, celery, and parsley. Many individuals who tried this change in diet have found it to be a fairly effective bad breath solution.
Your health can also be improved by eating more vegetables and fruits. Mothers harass their children about consuming more vegetables and fruits for these very reasons.
Another good cure for bad breath is drinking a lot of water. The water will wash away any food that may be remaining in your teeth, tongue, or gums. This is important because you do not want them to decay in your mouth because they can leave a really disgusting odor.
Practicing good oral hygiene is an additional way to remove the food. Brushing your teeth after every meal would be a good part of your daily routine. The areas between your teeth can be the cause of odor production and should be cleaned with dental floss or toothpicks.
Dental floss can eliminate some of the dental plaque on adjacent tooth surfaces. This will lower your chances of getting periodontal disease which has been known to cause halitosis.
A significant contributor to halitosis are the microbial deposits found on the back of the tongue which has been proven by many studies. Thus, a way to partially cure bad breath would be to thoroughly brush your tongue. Using too much force in this situation can cause a gagging reflex so you should take care when you are performing this activity.
When your mouth gets dry your breath can really smell bad. When you are fasting this situation may occur. Chewing sugarless gum throughout the day can be an effective bad breath solution. Doing this will increase the flow of saliva in your mouth which will aid you in eliminating any remnants of odor-causing food. Be careful because this can lead to joint problems with your jaw if you overdo this. It is sufficient to chew gum for a few minutes at a time.
You should stop drinking alcohol or anything with caffeine if you want to prevent dry mouth. You can also get dry mouth by taking medications, such as antidepressants, high blood pressure medications, and antihistamines. If you want more information on preventing dry mouth, then you should consult your dentist or doctor.
There are a lot of people that rely on commercial mouthwashes. With the hopes that it would cure bad breath, they gargle it for several seconds. You should use it right before going to bed if you want the best results. The reason for this is that the saliva flow is lowest at night which can really wreck your breath. The mouthwash will stay in your mouth longer and have a stronger effect if you use it at night.
However, you will only temporarily mask the terrible smell for a few hours with this bad breath solution. Currently, there are no studies that show a mouthwash will work as a long-term cure for bad breath.
