Realistic Risers are a toilet seat lift system that attaches to the bottom of your toilet seat with Velcro. The set that I purchased raise the seat 2.25 inches, but they also sell a 3 inch set.

The product description on eBay states they will support up to 600 pounds. It also states your seat will not “tip, flip or pop off like some others”. I found that the product lives up to these claims. The risers I received seem very sturdy and my seat does not shift or fall like my other seat risers have.

There are only two minor concerns I have about Realistic Risers; the Velcro tabs do not stick to the seat very well (I glued mine) and they are not compatible with integrated toilet seats. The positives, however, outshine the negatives; they are a breeze to install, they are simple to clean, they are sturdy and stable.

The patent holder and inventor’s daughter in law, Jan, sells Realistic Risers on eBay for $19.97. They are also available through Dr. Leonard’s magazine and Mile Kimball. I believe $19.97 is a very reasonable price, especially when I consider the cost of toilet seat risers I’ve purchased in the past.

I love Realistic Risers, I will never use another wobbly seat again. Though, I do plan on purchasing the 3 inch set since my new power chair sits a little higher than my old one. This awesome toilet seat riser is everything it claims to be- sturdy, stable, easy to install and extremely affordable.

This product was purchased with my own money and the opinions stated above are my own and not influenced by monetary or material consideration.
