I often talk to business owners and individuals about their online marketing needs and bottom line, many do not have a website to start with. The truth is that individuals do not know how to setup their own site. I usually ask people if they have a website and Im shocked that many do not. For some, they have no reason to have one but for many they are still relying on sites like Facebook and Myspace to get attention. This is great but still nothing is more reliable than having your own site.

Does a persons social networking site give them an advantage if they are looking for a job? It is still helpful that they should have their own websites. A lot of business is still done using others sites. You may get business by adding your real sites to any of your social networking sites. You too can make use of these sites to get free traffic to your own site by creating your own site and owning it. In case you need to introduce others to your site make it very appealing.

When you use a blog as a website you are in control of your website. Have you ever been to a site that was outdated? Lets face it, unless you have a team of people constantly updating your site, it is already outdated and nobody is visiting the site anymore. In fact everyone knows that your site is outdated.

For this reason it is best to use blog software to run your website. The beauty of this is price. You cant beat about a hundred dollars a year to have a full functional website. Why pay a company thousands or several hundred dollars a year when you can do it all yourself.

Websites are really affordable. I totally understand if you do not know where to start. Thats okay, there are millions of people just like you that do not know where to start but the difference is that those folks end up paying hundred if not thousands to get their site up and running. You should not have to pay more than One hundred and twenty dollars a year for a professional site. Not a free site where you have to include ads on the page.

Oh yes, you may also include videos, photos, audio clip and many more just name it, it is there. What about this, other people could subscribe with ease to your site by use of the build in the RSS feed. As you update your site anyone who has subscribed in your site receives an email or automatically their feed reader updates them.

The advantage about blogging is your use of the software as a website. This implies, as you create pages and make your blog, it appears to be a website. In my opinion, I feel weblogs are more impressive than websites, they keep varying frequently thus looking new always.

The best thing in my opinion about wordpress is that you can schedule posts to be posted automatically. So lets say I write three posts in one day but I dont want them to publish all in one day, I can schedule them to post through the week and they will be done. This is how you work smarter and not harder.
